You can learn more about ad serving companies and the options available to limit their collection and use of your information by visiting the websites for the Network Advertising Initiative, the Digital Advertising Alliance, and the European Interactive Digital Advertising Initiative. Similarly, you can learn about your options to opt-out of mobile app tracking by certain advertising networks through your device settings and by resetting the advertiser ID on your Apple or Android device.
Please note that opting-out of advertising networks services does not mean that you will not receive advertising while using our Services or on other websites, nor will it prevent the receipt of interest-based advertising from third parties that do not participate in these programs. It will, however, exclude you from interest-based advertising conducted through participating networks, as provided by their policies and choice mechanisms. If you delete your cookies, you may also delete your opt-out preferences.

We will rely on you to ensure that the personal information that you provide to us is as accurate, complete and up to date as necessary for the purposes for which we use the personal information. You will promptly notify us of any changes to the personal information that you provide to us using the procedures we make available to you for that purpose or by contacting our Privacy Officer using the contact information set out at the end of this Privacy Policy. You may reasonably request access to your personal information collected by us and information about our use, disclosure and retention of that personal information by submitting a written request to our Privacy Officer using the contact information set out at the end of this Privacy Policy. Subject to applicable exceptions and limitations prescribed by applicable law, you will be given reasonable access to your personal information and you will be entitled to verify the accuracy and completeness of your personal information and to have the information revised as appropriate. You may be required to pay a reasonable fee for access to your personal information. We may decline to process a request that is unreasonably repetitive, frivolous, vexatious or impracticable, that infringes or jeopardizes the privacy of other persons, or for other reasons permitted by applicable law.
Unless otherwise disclosed during collection and with parent or guardian consent (for instance, in some of the educational areas on our Sites), Metrie does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 years of age. If you are under 16 years of age you should not provide personally identifiable information to Metrie without providing us with consent from your parents. If Metrie discovers that a child under the age of 16 has provided Metrie with personal information and we do not have parental consent, Metrie will immediately delete that child’s information from the Sites.
We are concerned about ensuring the security of your personal information. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information in our possession or under our control to help protect personal information from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, deletion or similar risks. For example, we exercise great care in providing secure transmission of your information from your device to our servers. Personal information collected by our Sites is also stored in secure operating environments that are not available to the public. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we disclose your personal information to you. Please understand, however, that while we try our best to safeguard your personal information once we receive it, no transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Your information collected through the Service may be stored and processed in the United States, Canada or any other country in which Metrie, its affiliates or service providers maintain facilities. Metrie, its affiliates, or service providers may transfer information that we collect about you, including personal information across borders and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world. Please note that we may transfer information, including personal information, to a country and jurisdiction that does not have the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction. By providing your personal information to us, you consent to the transfer of information to the United States, Canada, or to any other country in which Metrie, its affiliates or service providers maintain facilities and the use and disclosure of information about you as described in this Privacy Policy.
We will retain your personal information for the period reasonably necessary for the purposes set out or referenced in this Privacy Policy and to comply with our legal obligations or enforce or protect our legal rights, or a longer period required or permitted by applicable law. We will delete or dispose of your personal information, or depersonalize the information, when we are no longer required or permitted by applicable law to retain the information for the purposes set out or referenced in this Privacy Policy (for example, if you terminate your account or ask us to delete your personal information). If you have any questions about termination or deactivation of your account, please contact us directly at privacy@metrie.com.
These Sites may contain links to other websites operated by affiliates of Metrie or third parties. Please be advised that the practices described in this Privacy Policy for Metrie do not apply to information gathered through these other websites. We are not responsible for the actions and privacy policies of third parties and other websites.
We may change our ownership or corporate organization while providing the Sites and services. We may also sell certain assets associated with the Sites. As a result, please be aware that in such an event we may transfer some or all of your information to a company acquiring all or part of our assets or to another company with which we have merged. Under such circumstances we would, to the extent possible, require the acquiring party to follow the practices described in this Privacy Policy, as it may be amended from time to time. Nevertheless, we cannot promise that an acquiring company or the merged company will have the same privacy practices or treat your information the same as described in this Privacy Policy.
As our Sites continue to develop, we may add new services and features to our Sites. In the event that these additions affect our Privacy Policy, this document will be updated appropriately. We will post those changes prominently so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information and whether we will disclose it to anyone. We do, however, recommend that you read this Privacy Policy each time you use our Sites in case you missed our notice of changes to the Privacy Policy. We will not, however, materially change our policies and practices to make them less protective of personal information we have previously collected from you without your express consent. If we make material changes to the ways in which we collect, use, disclose and retain your personal information, we will provide you with appropriate notice.
The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) provides California residents with rights to receive certain disclosures regarding the collection, use, and sharing of information about them, as well as rights to know/access, delete, and limit sharing of personal information. You have the right to be free from discrimination based on your exercise of your CCPA rights.
To the extent that we collect personal information that is subject to the CCPA, that information, our practices, and your rights are described below.
a. Notice at Collection Regarding Personal Information Collected
You have the right to receive notice of the categories of personal information we collect, and the purposes for which we use personal information. You also have the right to know about the sources of the personal information and to whom it is disclosed or sold. The categories we use below to describe personal information are those enumerated in the CCPA.
Entities to whom we disclose information for business purposes are service providers, which are companies that we engage to conduct activities on our behalf. Service providers are restricted from using personal information for any purpose that is not related to our engagement.
Entities to whom we “sell” information are third parties. Under the CCPA, a business “sells” personal information when it discloses it to a company for monetary or other benefit. A company may be considered a third party either because the purpose for its sharing of personal information is not for an enumerated business purpose under California law, or because its contract does not restrict it from using personal information for other purposes.
We collect this personal information from the sources described in the Information We Collect section above for the purposes described in the How We Use Your Information section above.
