In 2022, Metrie acquired EL & EL Wood Products in its largest-ever acquisition. Similar to Metrie, EL & EL was family-owned and a long-time market leader in the moulding, millwork, and door business. However, EL & EL was the market leader in California and the US Southwest – a place where Metrie historically had little or no presence. So, the fit was perfect! Today, the California-based team is STILL the market leader, but now known as Metrie EL & EL. We say that “we are better, together”, and there is no doubt that Metrie has benefitted from the skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and customer experience excellence of the teams in California, Arizona, and New Mexico. Metrie is definitely the industry leader from coast-to-coast in Canada, and now in the US too.
